CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Although we are strictly recreational......great social skills and friendships are made as we teach our students safety, teamwork, working hard to accomplish goals, and cheering each other on!

TADPOLE - What is a tadpole? They are ages 3-4 years old and are venturing out for their first time in a social environment. Separation anxiety is common. High energy is usually involved which makes this a great class as freedom is allowed. Listening games are played with music to help develop taking turns and following directions while practicing safety. Exploration is encouraged and a hug from supervised guardian waiting outside the gym is a must. Pull ups or diapers are required unless completely potty trained. Parents can come to class if needed taking baby steps to help encourage feeling safe and loved as they take their first steps out on their own.

LEAPFROGS - This class is for children ages 4-5. Being safe while learning in a positive environment is our key focus as we teach the basic fundamentals of how to roll forward, backwards, and side to side. Developing great strength and confidence will be learned. Cognitive learning is developed as we use props to make learning fun as they learn how to take turns, follow directions, and are rewarded in a positive environment. Our preschoolers learn skills & drills on how to flip backwards and forward practicing great form & technique. TA-DA!

BEGINNER  - Great class for all ages 5 & up who have never taken a tumbling class before. They will learn strength & flexibility to achieve goals such as reaching into backbends from a standing position, handstands, and basic tumbling fundamentals while combining them together as they achieve skills all by themselves with great strength and correct form. Building confidence and self-esteem is our #1 priority! Reaching into a backbend all by themselves is recommended before they advance to an intermediate level. Strength, Conditioning, and Technique is taught each week to help develop great form and strength as they progress to higher levels!

INTERMEDIATE - All ages are welcome if one year or more of tumbling has been instructed and ready to be pushed a little harder. Reaching into a backbend from a standing position is recommended. Working on technique and form while focusing on strength and flexibility is encouraged. Students will learn how to do back and front walkovers/kickovers. Passes and combination's are our goal to advancement as our students start to take on goal setting more seriously!

ADVANCE -  Students have accomplished learning backwalkovers/kickovers and front limbers/walkovers by themselves. Building confidence within themselves and body awareness through strength and conditioning is the key goal to progress. This is a fun class for students tumbling forward and backwards developing a positive self-esteem while working at a faster pace and more disciplined level. We are serious about the backhandspring and ready to listen and work hard, while having fun.
